Professor Bryant is one of Australia’s most experienced Podiatric Surgeons and specialist Podiatrists. He provides a wealth of knowledge and skill in managing foot and ankle problems and in foot surgery. He has been head of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at UWA since it was established over a decade ago. Prof Bryant’s Podiatric surgery interests are in the areas of bunion surgery/bunionectomy, neuroma surgery, toe deformity correction and surgical management of plantar fasciitis (heel pain). He also specialises in ingrown toenail correction and custom made orthotics.
Professor Bryant is well published in the areas of foot surgery/podiatric surgery and general podiatry. He completed his PhD on the effects of foot function before and after surgery to correct hallux valgus (bunions) and hallux limits (arthritis in the big toe joint/ stiff big toe joint) – two common painful foot conditions.
