Dr. Azarian is a Specialist Podiatric Surgeon (reconstructive foot surgeon) who completed her undergraduate and postgraduate Doctorate in foot surgery through the Faculty of Medicine, School of Surgery at the University of Western Australia (UWA).

Dr. Azarian is a Specialist Podiatric Surgeon (reconstructive foot surgeon) who completed her undergraduate and postgraduate Doctorate in foot surgery through the Faculty of Medicine, School of Surgery at the University of Western Australia (UWA).
Dr Azarian was the first Podiatric Surgeon from UWA to complete training and a mini-residency at the prestigeous Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, a leading foot surgery training facility in the world. During this time she had one on one training with leaders Dr John Ruch and Alan Banks in the areas of refined techniques for bunion surgery, hammer toe surgery, removal of neuromas, plantar plate repairs, plantar fascia surgery, tailor's bunion surgery and other foot surgery procedures.
Following this she was again the first Australian Podiatric Surgeon to attend the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Since then an affiliation with UWA has been established that has paved the way for future training Podiatric Surgeons to attend this college on rotation.
She has also had the privileged of training at the world renowned Weil Foot and Ankle Institute in Chicago alongside pioneers Dr Weil senior and junior.  She was the first Australian foot surgeon to personally learn the 'Weil technique' from Dr Weil himself. While in Chicago she took part in research through the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine leading to publication.
Since then she has invited Dr John Ruch and Dr Joe Southerland to Australia for foot surgery workshops and Podiatric Medicine conferences held at UWA.
Earlier this year she was personally invited to attend several conferences and workshops across the United States alongside founding fathers of the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis and learning from cutting-edge Podiatric Surgeon Dr Patrick DeHeer.
Dr Azarian maintains regular continued education training in refined foot surgery techniques and the latest in general podiatry to aid her patients.
She has attended local and international surgical workshops and was a presenter at the 2014 University of Western Australia Podiatric Medicine Conference. She has also acted as chairperson of the UWA PMA.
